Terms of service

1. Who we are

DuelSMP is a Minecraft server run by BR4M from the Netherlands. DuelSMP is not an official Minecraft product and is not approved by or associated with Mojang or Microsoft.

2. Who can play and buy

• You need a legitimate Minecraft account (Java or Bedrock) and must follow the Minecraft End User License Agreement.
• To buy from the store you must be 18 or older, or have permission from a parent or guardian who accepts these terms on your behalf.
• You are responsible for everything done with your Minecraft account on the server.

3. Playing on the server

You must follow the server rules. The core of DuelSMP is that your claim is protected while you live and opens to other players for 30 minutes when you die. Losing items, builds or progress through gameplay, including raids during that window, is part of the game and is never compensated.

Staff may warn, mute, kick, temporarily ban or permanently ban players who break the rules or these terms, and may roll back items gained through cheating, exploits or duplication.

4. Store purchases

• Store items are virtual and give you a personal, non-transferable licence to use certain features on the server. They have no real-world value and cannot be exchanged for money.
• Items are delivered to the Minecraft account named at checkout, usually within minutes of you being online.
• All sales are final. See the refund policy for why and for the exceptions where we will help.
• No purchase protects your claim, shortens the raid window or makes you immune to the rules. Ranks add convenience, such as homes and claim blocks.
• We may change, rebalance or remove perks over time, and may reset the world between seasons.
• Payments are processed by Tebex Limited, which sells the items to you as a reseller. Its checkout terms also apply.

5. Chargebacks and fraud

Using a stolen payment method, or reversing a payment for an item you received, results in a permanent ban from the server and the store. We may share information about fraudulent payments with Tebex.

6. Availability

We work hard to keep the server online, but we cannot promise it will always be available or free of bugs. Maintenance, outages, updates and world resets can happen. The server may also close one day. If that happens, we will announce it in advance on Discord where we can.

7. Content and conduct

You keep ownership of anything you create, but you allow us to show builds, chat and gameplay from the server in our videos, screenshots and social media. Do not use the server or Discord to harass anyone, share anyone's personal information, or post illegal or hateful content.

8. Liability

The server and store are provided as they are. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect damage, lost items or progress, or loss caused by outages, other players or third-party services. Our total liability for a purchase is limited to the amount you paid for it. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

9. Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. For significant changes we will post a notice on Discord. If you keep playing or buying after a change, the new terms apply.

10. Law

These terms are governed by Dutch law. If you live elsewhere in the EU, you also keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of your country.
